Abstract

Population aging presents a critical global challenge, with falls among older adults being a leading cause of injury and mortality. Such incidents significantly reduce the quality of life for seniors and impose substantial burdens on healthcare systems. This talk will introduce innovative technologies for fall risk assessment, proactive intervention, and real-time fall status monitoring and injury prevention. Special focus will be given to our team’s recent advancements in developing an AI-driven wearable protective airbag designed to safeguard high-risk elderly individuals. The talk will conclude with an exploration of future research directions in fall and injury prevention.
