报告人简介

翟玮,现任新加坡国立大学,机械工程系,助理教授,从事多孔材料,软物质,复合材料的制备和研究。博士毕业于剑桥大学工程系/唐宁学院,本科毕业于北京科技大学材料系,2015至2019年在新加坡制造技术研究院担任研究员。现任Materials & Design 和 Materials today communications 编辑,在Science Advances, Advanced Materials, Materials Today, Advanced Functional Materials, Acta Materialia, ACS Nano等杂志发表论文。

 

报告摘要

The advent of 3D printing brings about the possibilities of lattice structures as advanced and novel sound absorbers. Lattice structures are defined as periodic cellular solids with submillimeter-sized features (such as struts, shells, or plates) spatially arranged in a three-dimensional manner. Advantages of lattice structures over traditional sound absorbers include them being fully designable, customizable, and with the potential for multifunctionalities. Herein, we present our results on the design, sound absorption properties, mechanisms, and multifunctional properties of several types of lattice structures. The first study focuses on metallic face-centred cubic based plate and truss structures. Following this, we have next leveraged the analytical model for the design and optimization of heterogeneous lattice structure absorbers. Finally, we have also proposed a new type of hollow lattice that harness dual sound dissipation mechanisms. Overall, we present a new concept on the specific structural design and materials selection for lattice structures with simultaneously excellent sound absorption and mechanical properties.
